After Numerous Court Appeals, Dr. Rajan Mahtani Wins The Case At The Court Of Appeal

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is a noted businessman in Zambia. For the past three decades, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been fighting a case at the Lusaka High Court. This case has been for the legal takeover of the Portland Cement Zambia factory, a noted cement manufacturing factory which Dr. Rajan Mahtani claimed was illegally taken over from him. The case proceeded at the Lusaka High Court for more than a decade after which the final decision was given by justice Nkonde. However, this final decision was extremely controversial as Ventriglias were announced as only shareholders of the Zambezi Portland Cement. To counter this judgement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani then took the case to Court of Appeal.  The Court of Appeal is among the highest level judiciary system in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani has been finally announced as the legal owner of the Portland Cement Zambia factory. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a noted businessman and philanthropist in Zambia with numerous successful businesses including but not limited to Portland Cement Zambia, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments. It is worthy to note here that the case of Portland Cement Zambia is age old and was first registered by Dr. Rajan Mahtani himself. The case of Portland Cement Zambia is extremely peculiar. The case took for than ten years to find a resolution and was approached at two different courts in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the notable businessman who registered the case first at the Lusaka High Court. The judge at the Lusaka High Court was justice Nkone who gave the final judgement on the case during the month of May, 2018. As per this decision, Ventriglias were the only shareholders of the Zambezi Portland Cement. Court of Appeal Announced Final Results On Portland Cement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani Emerges Winner

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani has been declared as the winner of the Portland Cement Zambia case. This declaration came after more than a decade. The final decision on the Portland Cement Zambia case was declared by the Court of Appeal judge, justice Mwinde. The Court of Appeal is one of the highest civilian courts in Zambia and as a result, the decision from the Court is final and concrete. Justice Mwinde gave the final decision on 31st January 2019 after looking into all evidences and testimonials. As per this decision, Dr. Rajan Mahtani owned Finsbury Investments is majority shareholder of the Zambezi Portland Cement with 58 percent shares. On the other hand, Ventriglias owned Ital Terrazzo Limited holds just 42 percent shares at the factory and is the minority shareholder without any legal ownership over the factory.
