Dr. Mahtani Supports Zambian President’s Announcement.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani recently commended the Zambian President's recent move in an interview with the "Mast Newspaper." Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema stated his intentions to end the death penalty on the occasion of Africa Day. The President claims that the death penalty is a brutal, barbaric, and degrading punishment. Dr. Rajan Mahtani backed up this claim by saying that the death sentence is not the answer to the rise in crimes, criminal activity, and unethical behaviors in the country. More than 380 inmates in Zambia are now in custody and 25 to 30 of them are women. Every day when they wake up, these people worry that it might be their last. In addition, according to Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, he had the honor of meeting countless prisoners who had given their entire lives to serving the Almighty God. One of the most successful businessmen and philanthropists from Zambia and Africa is Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani. Prison Fellowship Zambia is one of his most notable charitable endeavors. It is a well-known Christian outreach program that aims to spread the good news and the teachings of Jesus Christ to Zambian prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families. Additionally, the initiative aims to protect the prisoners' basic human rights and sense of dignity.

The initiative also strives to provide all convicts with open criminal justice. Thus, Dr. Rajan Mahtani formed Prison Fellowship Zambia with the intention of achieving the announcement made by the President of Zambia. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani further supported the cause by arguing that the imposition of the death penalty does not end the problem of crime in the country. The majority of prisons in Zambia are in appalling conditions, and the inmates already have a challenging existence there. Basic hygiene is even lacking. As a result, the president of Zambia's decision is a positive one.
